Financial Market Summary

DJIA gained 0.5% to settle at 13,029.3. NASDAQ edged 0.2% lower to close at 3,000.5. S&P 500 edged up 0.1% to end at 1,378.5.

Nikkei 225 index is trading 0.3% lower at 9,533.5.

FTSE 100 rallied 0.5% to end at 5,772.2.

FTSEurofirst 300 index added 0.5% to end at 1,046.1.

In Asia, crude oil for June delivery is trading marginally lower at $103.85 per barrel.

At 0400 BST today, the GBP is trading marginally lower against the USD at $1.6119, 0.2% higher against the EUR at €1.2219, and 0.3% lower against the JPY at ¥131.02.
