April 24, 2012 Financial Market Summary

DJIA lost 0.8% to settle at 12,927.2. NASDAQ shed 1.0% to close at 2,970.5. S&P 500 fell 0.8% to end at 1,366.9.

Nikkei 225 index is trading 0.4% lower at 9,506.8.

FTSE 100 dropped 1.8% to close at 5,665.6.

FTSEurofirst 300 index fell 2.3% to end at 1,021.8.

In Asia, crude oil for June delivery is trading marginally lower at $103.08 per barrel.

At 0400 BST today, the GBP is trading marginally higher against the USD at $1.6123, marginally higher against the EUR at €1.2260, and 0.2% lower against the JPY at ¥130.48.
